Dear Careers for Bioscience Ph.D.s Speakers,

Here is the rundown for the class:

When: All the classes will be on Wednesdays beginning with pizza and drinks at 6pm, followed by speakers from 6:30-7:30pm. You can check the current schedule, in case you are curious about who else will be speaking or would like to double check your date.

Where: We will be meeting on the Berkeley Campus in 141 Giannini, which is located in B-5 on this campus map.

What: Each speaker will have the floor for around half an hour. No special preparation or presentation materials are necessary.  Speakers usually just explain their background, how they got their positions, a typical day in their current job (hours, who you work with, etc.) and the pros and cons of their work. We keep it very informal, and students will probably jump in with questions throughout.

Parking/Transportation: You can park in the Wellman Courtyard lot adjacent to Giannini (see this campus map). If you would like to have a campus permit for the day that you speak, please e-mail us with your mailing address, and our administrative office will mail it to you directly.  Alternatively you can take BART.  The Downtown Berkeley station is in C-8 of the campus map.
